Welfare and Safeguarding Information
Players
Young players can experience pressure on the field, in club situations, in friendships and in all they do beyond the Club. Meeting challenge is something to learn as a young player, but often it can be challenging. If you are a player or parent and want to talk to us about any concerns here in the Club then contact our Welfare and Safeguarding Officer Anna Woodfine who is here to help with any concerns. Please use the Club Contacts directory to message securely through Teamo or contact her via cobham.membership@outlook.com
Coaches and Committee
Our Welfare Department works in tandem with England Lacrosse to obtain enhanced DBS checks for our coaches, keeping coaches' DBS checks up-to-date and obtaining checks for coaches new to the Club. Our Committee are also DBS checked.
Serious Safeguarding Issues
All serious safeguarding issues will be referred, in utmost confidence, to our governing body, the England Lacrosse Association's Welfare Officer. In the first instance and to open a complaint, please get in touch with our Chair or Welfare Officer using the directory on this website.
Code of Conduct
We are affiliated to the England Lacrosse Association and broadly follow their policies at www.englandlacrosse.co.uk/policies Codes of Conduct detail the responsibilities of Players and Spectators, and a detailed code exists for Club officials ( coaches, umpires and others) when carrying out Club business.
